Historical Series

This collection of 14 clay relief sculptures pays tribute to the essential stories of Lethbridge and its history. As a local to Medicine Hat, James Marshall's decision to use clay also acknowledges the importance of the clay and brickwork from his hometown. While the visuals tell the stories of the people, the medium they are made in tells the story of our region's strong history of production. Marshal's work can be found on the walls of Alberta's homes, businesses, schools, and government offices.
