Neptune
Neptune is the furthest planet in our solar system. It is also named after the Roman god of the sea, fitting as the gases around the core rock make the planet look like one giant sea.
About This Location
Relax in nature as you find Neptune out at Park Lake Provincial Park! Take a dip in Park Lake, have a picnic, or stay the night as you take in the vast size of our solar system and digest all that you learned! For this stop, turn right on the main road once you enter the park and continue approximately half a kilometre. The stop will be on your left, near the washrooms. Park Lake is a stunning recreational area- a favourite destination for Lethbridgeans. It also has a nice, dark night sky!
